A small video I took the other day in the sim to demonstrate alpha prot and alpha floor. In this demo, the thrust is brought intentionally to idle. The airplane slows down. When it reaches a specific angle of attack, the autopilot disengages and the airplane's protection becomes active. Without any pilot inputs, the angle of attack is reduced to maintain alpha prot.
