Genesis released ‘Abacab’ as a single, from the album of the same name, on this day in 1981. Phil, explaining the song’s name: “Well “ABACAB” originally was a way of remembering the sequence of the song. “A” was the verse, “B” was the chorus, “A” was the verse [again], “C” was the bridge.
